BACKGROUND
Simmental is a breed that originates from Switzerland. Nowadays, these cows also graze in the German and Austrian Alps, where, in addition to grass, they also eat a lot of herbs. Since the animals graze on slopes, meat full of character is created. Meat with a beautiful fat cover, a fine structure and good intramuscular fat. The fact that these cows are allowed to grow slowly and the minimum age of three years they have to reach, contributes to the great quality of the meat as well.
